| love it 2008-08-14 i bought this grill just few days ago and im very impressed. in minutes i can prepare healthy and tasty meal for me and my family. it's very easy to clean -thanks to removable plates- which for lazy person like me is a very big plus. highly recommended.  By E. Goch |
| Died within 4 months 2008-08-11 I have used this fairly regularly since I bought it. I never normally had to remove the plates to clean them as they are easily wiped with a sponge. I have still had to remove the plates regularly as somehow the grease gets underneath them (I have no idea how it gets under the top plate). I think this is one of the reasons it died. As other people have mentioned, when new the plates are a fairly tight fit but after a while they get looser (the top one especially). This means that it seems to cook the lower part more than the top. It's not much of a problem as it still cooks well. Well what happened after many uses is that I left it heating up (no more than 5 minutes) and then I heard some strange noises from the unit. I then saw a flash and it was obvious something had caught fire between the plates (probably a bit of oil). I approached it carefully as there was obviously a fire between the top plate. I switched it off and cleaned any oil I could find. Unfortunately it no longer works! I will claim under the warranty and hope it doesn't happen again. I am still not sure why it happened as it should not get hot enough to cause a fire. I must have used it at least 40 times in the 4 months I had it.  By Sirius76 |
| A disappointment 2008-07-12 I've had a George Foreman for some years and have always enjoyed excellent results but found the cleaning a real pain so I thought this replacement would be the answer but sadly not...........and not by a long way. I've used this for a few months now and have had one to many anaemic steaks. in fact I'd go as far to say it doesn't grill...it steams. One for the bin I'm afraid. I'll go back to a George Forman with fixed plates and put up with cleaning them by hand.  By Mr. Wm Taylor |
| Best Buy in Ages 2008-06-10 Have had a few Foreman Grills and have to say no probs with any. This however is the grill of all grills, love it and so easily cleaned. Ta very much chuck. By Anne Mcalinden |
| excellent! 2008-05-16 I resisted getting one of these Foreman grills as I thought they were just a gimmick but seeing the reviews for this one and the removable plates I resisted no longer - and I'm so glad to get this one. The removable plates really are wonderful and nothing could be easier to clean especially in a dishwasher. Food cooks beautifully - especially really thick burgers - and we will use this instead of the barbecue in future. Chicken breasts, bacon etc etc cook really well all the way though without over scorching the surface and really quickly too. We're going to try pork on it tomorrow. When shopping I now look for food I can cook in it as it's such a joy to use! By J. Calvert |
